I have 4 years of total HH assets (from years 2000,2002,2004 and 2006) with a complex sample data set. I have therefore, 4 time points per Household ID and these are clustered within PSU's. I have a "long" file with 4 records per HH ID and there can be multiple HH's per PSU. I would like to run a simple model of total assets predicted by number of years since 2000 (values of 0,2,4,6). I also want to evaluate variation in HH total assets within each HH and obtain corrected SE's for the complex design.

Can you help with the syntax and correct data structure or point me to an example in the Mplus manual? Thanks very much.

I would use the wide format as shown in Example 9.12.

Thank you Linda, I will try that approach and refer to 9.12. Pat
