I’m trying to run some regressions in MPlus, prior to attempting multi-level modeling, and when I look at my output, it is clear by comparing the means to those from my SPSS output of the same data, that MPlus is not reading in my data correctly.
It seems to be reading in the first several variables correctly, because when I compare the means of those variables to the SPSS output, they are very close, but once I get past the first few, the means are totally out of line with the SPSS output.
Any suggestions as to what to look for in my txt file would be appreciated!
Thanks!

One factor is that SPSS uses a different n for each variable if there is missing data. Mplus estimates the model taking missing data into account. You could also be misreading your data in Mplus because of blanks in the data set or the wrong number of variable names. The only way to know is to send the SPSS and Mplus outputs along with your license number to support@statmodel.com.
