Hi Bengt & Linda,
I am wondering if there is any way to rig Mplus to estimate latent interactions among random intercepts in a between part of a multilevel model. If not, I can work with the observed means, but they have yet to be computed in the dataset. I have never seen it in the manual, but does Mplus have the ability to compute variables that are the observed means for each group?

Thanks for your time
mike

I don't think you can use XWITH with two random intercepts on between. You can try. If it does not work, then you need to put a factor behind each of them and use the factors with XWITH, for example,

f1 BY y1; y1@0;
f2 BY y2; y2@0;
inter | f1 XWITH f2;
dep ON inter;

Of course! Thank you, Linda, that works.
