Hello!

I want to perform CFA to validate a questionary with 23 questions. In our study we have over 20000 patients within 700 physicians, who answered the questionary about his/her family physician. I'd like to adjust CFA for physicians clusters, but I'm not sure, how to do it. In MPlus Users Guide I found only examples where covariates are included in the model.

Her is my input:

TITLE: CFA
DATA: FILE IS patient.txt;
VARIABLE: NAMES ARE u1-u23 clus;
CATEGORICAL ARE u1-u23;
CLUSTER IS clus;
ANALYSIS: TYPE = TWOLEVEL
MODEL: f1 by u1-u6;
f2 by u7-u11;
f3 by u12-u15;
f4 by u16-u17;
f5 by u18-u23;

*** ERROR in Model command
The labels %BETWEEN% or %WITHIN% must be specified.

I'm not sure, what I have to write her. Can you help me? Thanks a lot!

You must specify the labels %BETWEEN% and %WITHIN% as part of your MODEL command. See the examples in Chapter 9 for an illustration of this.
