I am wondering if it is possible to have a second-order formative indicator. Basically I have three formative indicators which are each made up of three items. There is then another overarching formative indicator which is made up of the other three sub formative indicators. I have come up with the following based on syntax I have gleaned from the internet, but when I add it into my model, it doesn't seem to work well.

In a formative model, there must be one observed variable that the factors influence.
