Hello,

I ran a one-factor CFA for a 4-item scale using sample of N=92. My chi square was huge (X2 = 222.216, df = 6, p < .0000) but the other fit indices seem pretty much perfect:

CFI = 1.000
TLI = 1.028
RMSEA = .000
SRMR = .001

I have read through the Mplus discussion boards but can't seem to figure out what's going on. Thoughts/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Erika

Having a large chi-square with a small sample size is unusual. One reason might be low correlations. To understand more, please send your output and license number to support@statmodel.com. Include SAMPSTAT in the OUTPUT command.
