hello there, i am running a cfa and here are my results : RMSEA : 0.04 CFI : 0.655 I wonder why i get such a poor cfi in my model. Does someone can explain how to get a CFI > 0.9 ? Is it because of the correlations in my model ? Thank you |

This is caused by low correlations. |

Dr. Muthen, Do you have any references that you might be able to pass along that discuss the relationship between low correlations and a low CFI? I have found this in my own analyses and am trying to learn more about this phenomenon and include some citations in my manuscript about why we see this. Thanks, in advance, for any guidance you can provide. Jackie |

I can't think of any. You may want to ask on SEMNET. |
